Zach and Lauren met their freshman year in college at Marshall University. He was on the soccer team and she was a diver for the swim team. When they first actually met is still up for debate, and Lauren’s initial feelings about Zach didn’t bode well for a romance. However, toward the end of the year they were constantly around each other and she wasn’t able to resist his charm anymore. Zach visited Lauren as she stayed in Huntington that summer and officially asked her to be his. They dated throughout their four years at Marshall, but really knew they were meant to be when they successfully biked across the country together after college graduation. They figured if they could accomplish that and still be in love they can do anything. Zach started Medical school at Marshall shortly after their bike trip and Lauren stayed in West Virginia to support him in realizing his dream. She started working and continued school graduating with her MBA last May. In January 2016, Zach finally made official what everyone already knew was meant to be and asked Lauren to be his wife. They are excited for their last year in the Wild & Wonderful and can’t wait to see what the future holds for them as Zach becomes a doctor and they start their next adventure as husband and wife.
